Songwriting Retreat
Cornerstone Anglican is hosting a day-long songwriting retreat followed by a song share with United Adoration on Saturday, June 13, from 9am-4pm. Songwriters of all ages and experience levels are invited to come engage your creativity in an atmosphere of worship, prayer, and collaboration. This past weekend, a group from The Brook walked in a parade for peace and prayer down Fullerton with many different churches, law enforcement, and community leaders. We’re grateful for their display of unity in the body of Christ and make our presence known in the city of Chicago — making Jesus visible!
Breakthrough Urban Ministries
Breakthrough Urban Ministries just cut the ribbon on The Residences, their new Family Housing building at 3340 W. Carroll Avenue in East Garfield Park! The building features 14 two- and three-bedroom units of affordable housing, along with welcoming shared and gathering spaces designed to foster connection, comfort, and a real sense of community. Congratulations to our partners at Breakthrough on a milestone that means stability and belonging for 14 Chicago families.
