TCP LEARNING LAB | MAY PASTORS GATHERING
Our congregations spend more time at work than anywhere else during the week. How can we equip them to view their work as their mission in the world? Join TCP for this May pastoral gathering on Friday, May 5th, 11 am-1 pm, at Bethel Temple (1450 W. 19th St) to learn and discuss. The training will be presented in Spanish & English. Fellowship, learning, free lunch! RSVP here and share with a friend!
TCP INSTITUTE | MAY COURSE
Some of our members and leaders need formal theological education. But most simply need foundational training that is both affordable and accessible. Encourage your members and lay leaders to sign up for “How to Study the Bible”, facilitated by Pastor Steve Coble and Brian Dye. Learn how to study the Scriptures for more than just additional information and discover how it all reveals an intimacy with God Himself and calls for application and transformation.
Classes will be held on Thursday evenings in May, 6:30-9 pm, at the Renewal Church Office (1424 W. Chicago 2nd fl). Registration is just $39 - sign up here.
Stay alert for more information coming on TCP Institute courses that will be offered at churches throughout the city in the coming months. If your church is interested in hosting a course, email brian@thechicagopartnership.org.
EXPONENTIAL CHICAGO
Exponential is coming to Chicago. Gather with 100s of like-minded church multiplication leaders October 12-13. Affordable rates, convenient schedule, and close location - designed to bring your whole team. This year’s speaker lineup includes our own Derrick Puckett (Renewal Church of Chicago) and Watson Jones III (Salem Baptist Church)! Visit exponential.org/chi22 to register.
WORK & WORSHIP
Join Faith & Works Chicago on Friday, April 21 at 5:30 pm, at 218 S. Wabash (2nd Floor) for a special evening with theologian and author Matthew Kaemingk to enjoy dinner, worship, and a guided session to help you write your own prayers and liturgies related to your workday. Matthew has spent years researching, developing, and engaging with people in various vocations to create liturgies for workers. Learn more about the project here. The cost for this event is $12. MAKING
JESUS
VISIBLE
LATINO PASTORS GATHERING
We were encouraged last week as we gathered with Latino pastors from across the city for prayer, fellowship, and discussion around immigration and the plight of recent Venezuelan immigrants. The Lord is at work and we are glad to be connecting and supporting one another as we work to make Jesus visible in every neighborhood of Chicago! Don’t miss our upcoming May gathering on Cinco de Mayo - the presentation will be in both Spanish and English.
We’d love to hear from you! Send us an email - we would love to share your prayer request, life/ministry update, job opening, and more.
